Create a "save the date" flyer to give to elem Spanish teachers to send home with students, give to principals/teachers, etc, or an email that includes a general idea of the fiesta and what to expect in an upcoming flyer. Send by end of January
Informational flyer for all 5th grade parents / students. Send to elem. Spanish teachers to make copies at their own building. Send home a month before fiesta.

*Include volunteer request tear off sheet to get sent back to teachers.
4. . MPS TV - create one after using the video / pictures taken at the fiesta. Contact Billie Oliver to let her know about fiesta date, video ideas, etc. Act as on camera person or find alternate person. 2012- Norm is willing to come back and do this role this year.
5. Follow up with a reminder flyer closer to the date (2 weeks?) Will upload 2012 shortly
6. Contact newspapers, MPS TV. Connect with them the night of the fiesta. Or write an article and submit it to MDN with a picture
7. Invite school board, middle school and high school foreign language teachers
8. Write letter to editor afterwards thanking all involved for helping out
9. Write general parent thank you letter that will be put in each schools’ newsletters
10. Arrange for video and pictures to be taken (Billie Oliver). Make sure pictures are taken of each Hispanic so they can be printed after and put in their thank yous. *SOMEONE WILL NEED TO DO TAKE THE PICTURES 2012*
